The book unlocks on your account as soon as you buy it, so the 14-day right to cancel ends once it is unlocked.

What buying means

  • Yours for good, on every iPhone you sign in to.
  • Read in the app’s own reader, with the original beside the translation where there is one.
  • Downloaded, so it reads with no signal.
  • The same price as in the app. Folio already opens every book on this shelf; buying keeps this one after Folio ends. A refund takes it back.

About the book

A hunchbacked duke addresses the audience in the first lines and announces that he is determined to prove a villain, since the winter of his discontent has passed and peace has no use for him. William Shakespeare wrote this history play around 1592, the close of his first tetralogy, and gave the English stage one of its most seductive monologists. Richard murders his way to the crown, woos a widow over her husband's coffin, smothers nephews, and lets the audience in on every step. Margaret of Anjou stalks the corridors cursing each victim in turn, and her curses come true. On Bosworth Field a king who has charmed everyone meets a horse he does not have, and the kingdom collects itself in his absence.
