Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 January 2026
The Daily Canon is built to be used, not to collect data. This policy explains what we do and don't do with your information.
What we collect
The Daily Canon collects very little. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes, and we do not track your behaviour within the app.
Name and email (optional)
You may optionally provide your name and email address via an in-app popup. This information is used solely to keep you informed about The Daily Canon. It is stored securely, never shared with or sold to third parties, and you can request its deletion at any time by emailing us.
Push notifications
If you choose to enable push notifications, we store a device token provided by Apple's Push Notification service (APNs). This token is used solely to deliver your daily notification. It is not linked to any personal identity and can be revoked at any time by disabling notifications in your device settings.
Hosting and infrastructure
The app is hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) may be recorded by our hosting provider as part of normal operations. We do not access or analyse these logs for tracking purposes.
Third-party services
The Daily Canon does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. No data is shared with or sold to third parties.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Given that we collect nothing, changes are unlikely.
