A stagecoach rattles along a Maine road with one small passenger inside, and before long she has climbed out to sit on the box beside the driver, holding a pink sunshade and talking without pause. Rebecca Randall is being sent from a mortgaged farm and a houseful of brothers and sisters to her mother's unmarried sisters in the brick house at Riverboro, where Aunt Miranda has agreed to take her in and has no intention of enjoying it.
The old stage coach was rumbling along the dusty road that runs from Maplewood to Riverboro.
The blurb, the gist, the why of the day and the work itself are in the app. The first button needs it on this device; the second gets it there.
