Two boys born the same day in Tudor London, a prince and a beggar, swap clothes and cannot swap back. The beggar plays king while the prince learns on the road what his own laws do to the poor, and reclaims his throne at the coronation.

The world is made wrong; kings should go to school to their own laws, at times, and so learn mercy.
